Yuanyuan Shi
‍Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Dr. Shi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California San Diego. She received her B.S. in Automation Engineering from Nanjing University, China, in 2015 and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 2020. Prior to joining UC San Diego in 2021, she was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Caltech. Her research lies at the intersection of machine learning, dynamical systems, and control, with a focus on applications to power and energy systems. She is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, the Schmidt Sciences AI2050 Early Career Fellowship, and the Hellman Fellowship.
